Education:

Bachelor of Science in Elementary Education - Ohio Dominican University

"I moved to Georgia in 2000 from Ohio where I was born and raised. I was diagnosed with dyslexia when I was a freshman in high school. I struggled with school all my life and had been told that I was just lazy and stupid. I had one teacher in high school who told me she thought I would make a great teacher. Due to her belief in me, I went from not being college material to graduating college in 3 1/2 years. I want to help other students learn that they can overcome challenges and be successful at anything they set their mind to. I love interacting with my students and getting to know them as people and not just someone who sits in class for an hour each day, I feel that personal connection is so important and I am excited that William & Reed will allow me to work closely with my students. I want to help them realize that math can be fun and they can be successful at it, even if it is hard.

In 2009, I married my husband Eric. I have two beautiful daughters: Ashley and Rylee. I am also very lucky to have two wonderful step-children: Alec and Tessa. In my spare time, I LOVE going to the movies, the beach, dog sitting, hiking, being outdoors. I am also a huge ice hockey fan!!

I am very excited to be part of the William & Reed Academy Staff."
