A Better Way
It all began with teachers and parents who, like so many families, found themselves thinking, “There has to be a better option.” Watching students burn out, disengage, and lose their love of learning made one thing clear -- change was necessary. So, we took action to create something better
WILLIAM & REED ACADEMY IS A HIGHLY-FOCUSED COLLEGE PREPARATORY SCHOOL THAT EQUIPS STUDENTS TO THRIVE IN ALL AREAS OF THEIR LIVES.
As we reenvisioned school, we saw the opportunity to reinvent everything -- from doing away with wasted time in the school day, to making curriculum more impactful, and retaining elite teachers. Our newfound independence has also given us the ability to quickly evolve and adapt to foster a vibrant school life for each one of our students.

A CLOSER LOOK AT OUR HISTORY
In 2014, Hunter Reed Cluthe, a veteran teacher and administrator, sent out a call for the best educators in the area to come together and create a different kind of school. His vision? A place where teachers could fully connect with students, and kids could learn in ways that made school interesting and exciting again.
Within the first year, attendance quadrupled. More than a decade later William & Reed Academy and the families it serves are still growing strong.

We may have smaller class sizes and a shorter week, but the truest benefit of William & Reed Academy is how a less-stressful school day provides students an enjoyable learning experience during their formative years.
