William & Reed Academy offers experienced certified teachers and rigorous college preparatory classes with a very small student to teacher ratio (maximum of 16 students per class). In addition, William & Reed Academy offers flexibility for students, such as competitive athletes, who may require a non-traditional academic schedule while pursuing a top-notch academic experience. Our certified teachers and staff share the philosophy that cultivating our students' ability to think independently will ultimately prepare our students for an incredible and successful college experience.

OUR VISION
William & Reed Academy provides parents and students another choice for an accredited college preparatory education. William & Reed Academy has a unique and specialized approach to teaching students in a small class setting while preparing them for the college of their choice. William & Reed Academy offers students in grades 6 - 12 a concentrated school week of Monday through Thursday, 8:00 a.m. to 12:30 p.m., with an optional online/Flex period component that ends daily at 2:00 p.m. This schedule maximizes academic instructional time by offering core academic classes in a shorter school day blended with online electives. The concentrated school week offers small classes in all core subjects (math, science, social studies, and language arts) and various online electives such as Forensic Science, Sports and Entertainment Marketing, five world languages, and 20 Advanced Placement courses. The student-friendly schedule also allows students to spend time on other interests like sports and fine arts while still receiving an accredited, college preparatory education without sacrificing academic quality or instructional time. Overall, William & Reed Academy's unique schedule is proving to have a positive effect on students' emotional well-being while also yielding higher academic results.
BACKGROUND
William & Reed Academy was founded by 25-year veteran certified teacher and administrator Hunter Reed Cluthe. As a tribute to his parents, William Cluthe and Molly Reed, Hunter found the name "William & Reed Academy" quite fitting for a school that emphasizes independent thinking aligned with the values instilled by his parents, who truly valued education. William Cluthe graduated from Babson Business School and earned his M.B.A. at NYU while Molly Reed was a History and Political Science major at George Washington University.
SCHOOL HISTORY
William & Reed Academy was founded by Hunter Reed Cluthe in 2014 in Johns Creek, Georgia. W&R has assembled a faculty that represents the best teachers from the best local schools, giving students and parents a unique private school option. Since William & Reed Academy's inaugural year, the school continues to grow exponentially, while maintaining a small class environment with an emphasis on connecting with students.
