"Teaching math to middle and high school students is one of my true passions, and I feel like I have the most rewarding career. I have learned that teaching mathematics should be interactive and encourage active participation from students. I think students’ deepest understanding of material comes from exploration and discussion rather than listening to an hour-long lecture. I strive to develop more meaningful and engaging classroom experiences for my students as I want to create an environment that makes students excited to come to math class. I love connecting with students and empowering them to persevere even when struggling with a challenging concept. It's my hope that students will leave my class with a greater love of mathematics and a stronger ability to think critically and creatively."
