Not Enough Hours
Staying up until the wee hours of the morning, doing poor quality work with minimal effort. Limited time left to develop your skills and prepare for performance.
Pressure-Filled Environments
Feeling the pressure to fit in academically and socially with behaviors that don't align with your development, ethics, and morals.
Distractions Get in the Way
Too many students, lack of accountability, and wasted time during the day forces conscientious students to teach themselves when they get home.
What's Family Time?

Lack of Direction
Surrounded by others who are not motivated. Immersed in an environment with students who believe that acceptable is good enough.
Overwhelmed Leaders
Teachers who can no longer practice the art of teaching and influencing students. Challenging to keep order in the classroom and pressured to pass poor performers.

Students We Serve
Students deserve a school that fits what they need.
When it comes to preparing your child for the future, you want them to have what they need for the best start in life.
The problem is that their current school may stop short of doing that. Crowded classrooms are filled with nameless faces, technology distractions disrupt learning, and rigid policies prohibit flexible schedules. Students who don't learn during the day are exhausted, burdened with schoolwork until late at night with parents left to monitor their work.
It's no wonder parents become anxious and worried about the health and well-being of their child when they are missing out on opportunities.
William & Reed Academy has become recognized by educational experts as on the leading edge of what the future of college preparatory schools will become.
It is a viable solution for college-bound students who need dedicated blocks of time for special interest training, those who are interested in learning at school rather than teaching themselves, and those who want to prepare for their future but they don't feel like anyone cares if they try.
William & Reed Academy offers the affordability and flexibility hard to find in other school options with a concentrated schedule of more core academic instructional time in four days than what other schools offer in five. Deeper learning, increased self-awareness, and emotional intelligence development combine to position students for their future success.
"William & Reed Academy is poised to be at the forefront of private secondary college-preparatory education.” - AdvancEd Accreditation Team Report - 2018

What people are saying about William & Reed Academy
"The way they teach at William & Reed is different. I have teachers who want to know me, rather than a teacher putting up a wall you can’t get past. I feel like I'm learning now. I got my life back because we are learning more in class."
11th Grade Student, William & Reed Academy
" The first day he came home is the day our lives changed. The battles and fighting were behind us. It’s the last day I had to help him with his homework. He now has the structure in place to get it done.”
Parent of William & Reed Academy Student
" At William & Reed, I can teach and do it the right way rather than being told to push kids through to pass. I now have the access and time to get to know and connect with my students.”
Faculty Member, William & Reed Academy
"I didn't realize my academic ability until I was here. I didn't realize what I was capable of until I could explore it. Teachers were able to push me more because they had a better idea of my abilities."
