ACCREDITATION & ASSOCIATIONS
William & Reed Academy is both AdvancED/SACS and GAC accredited. William & Reed Academy's AdvancED Accreditation Engagement Review Report received final approval by the AdvancED Global Commission in January 2019. Further, William & Reed Academy is accredited through the Georgia Accrediting Commission (GAC) as a traditional private school.
About Cognia
In order to earn Cognia Accreditation, institutions must:
- Meet the Cognia Standards and accreditation policies.
- Demonstrate quality assurance through internal and engagement reviews.
- Engage in continuous improvement.
Cognia Accreditation is not about earning a label for a one-time evaluation. Rather, it recognizes those institutions that have sustained an exemplary commitment to continuous improvement and learner outcomes. Cognia is considered the "gold standard" in academic accreditation.

William & Reed Academy is also accredited through the Georgia Independent School Association's rigorous accrediting standards.
About the Georgia Accrediting Commission
The mission of the Georgia Accrediting Commission is twofold: (l) to establish standards promoting instruction of high quality for children in Georgia and (2) to encourage schools to meet the established standards. GAC provides an accreditation process designed to establish and uphold standards, to strengthen the quality of education in each school, and to assure its membership and the general public that the established standards are related to the best educational practices.
NOTE: W&R Academy is "Accredited with Quality" as a private school which is the Georgia Accrediting Commission's highest level of accreditation. W&R is NOT a Homeschool program/NTEC.
