"As a student, I was fortunate to attend Burris Laboratory School, a small K-12 institution affiliated with Ball State University. I loved the family atmosphere that Burris provided. Notably, all of my siblings, including my brothers and sister, also received their education there. The exceptional educators I encountered at Burris instilled in me a love for learning. This very sentiment led me to William & Reed Academy, where I found a similar sense of community.

At William & Reed Academy, I cherish the family-like atmosphere, which has allowed me to return to the educational roots. Here, I can employ a student-centric approach and encourage self-inquiry in my teaching methods. The smaller class sizes enable me to forge individual connections with my students, guiding them toward answers rather than merely providing them. I love being in the classroom.

In addition to my role as a social studies teacher, I also serve as the high school basketball coach at William & Reed Academy. My own basketball journey began in elementary school and continued through college in Indiana, concluding after my freshman year due to a knee injury. Coaching became my path after my playing days ended. I've taken pride in nurturing the school's competitive basketball program since its inception in 2022, relishing the process of building it from the ground up.

Outside of my professional life, I am happily married to my wife, Kathleen, and we have three children: Aidan, Brody, and Payton."
