"After graduating from Georgia Tech, I was a builder for ten years and then a stay at home mom for fourteen. At the young age of 46, I returned to school to get my masters in teaching. It was the call I had ignored all of my life. I love kids, teaching, and coaching and it was time to do what I love. I had coached girls’ basketball since I was eighteen, and it was time to take this passion into the classroom. During the three years I taught, I lost both of my parents and I decided I could not be a Bibi (Swahili for grandmother) from three states away so I said goodbye to the classroom. I began tutoring out of my home for the next seven years where I was able to mentor, instill confidence, and help many kids to not only find success but also have fun while studying math.

I am a divorced mama of two incredible daughters who I hope to be like when I grow up. I have two grandsons who keep me young at heart. I am happiest at my pool, at our cabin, on the beach, at a baseball field watching my grandson, or in the stands watching my daughter coach lacrosse and flag football. I LOVE my family, my friends, and my church family. I love big, play hard, and laugh heartily.

I am so excited to be a part of the awesome staff at William and Reed and to work with much smaller classes so that I can foster relationships while delving into mathematics."
