“For me, teaching mathematics to young people has always been about that 'ah-ha moment.'  This moment is when students achieve a higher level of comprehension allowing them to further expand their critical thinking in math.   I have thoroughly enjoyed this whether it is with an individual student or a class of thirty students. Doing this in the exceptional setting of William & Reed Academy has not only consistently energized me but has also allowed me to  keep my students energized and enthusiastic about the world of math!  The limited class sizes and the uplifting atmosphere has helped me reach every student I work with in a positive and constructive manner.

My wife, Deana, is also a teacher, and we have two children, Drew and Gracie.  As a family, we enjoy our church, attending their school functions, going to the park, and traveling in the summer, especially to the beach.   I also enjoy exercising and playing golf whenever possible!
